MTY Group is looking for an efficient Payroll Clerk to undertake corporate restaurants payroll provinces (Quebec, Ontario, Alberta & B.C). The successful candidate will be a highly-driven and motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a career that can offer growth and opportunity.

Reporting directly to the HR Director the ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of Payroll. The candidate will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end – to- end running of projects and operations.

Your challenges

Administer Corporate restaurant payroll (high volume, full cycle payroll administration; done on a bi-weekly basis)
Process payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering data
Enter new hires, termination and issue Record of Employment
Update payroll records
Maintain employee records by keeping information confidential
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Provide payroll information to third parties (e.g. employees, government, etc.) by answering questions and requests
Prepare information for monthly submission to Profit Sharing Program
Handle CNESST (QC), WSIB (ON), and Health and Safety (AB)
Perform various administrative duties in Human Resources
Your profile

Previous work experience as a Payroll Clerk
Knowledge of ADP and or Nethris payroll system is an asset
Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
Able to work in a fast pace environment
Must be detail oriented and able to work independently
Experience with year-end is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written (French and English)
